This monitor has got to be the best video monitor on the market. In my experience, video monitors can be very frustrating. They can be blurry, have all kinds of static and interference, and sometime just plain don’t work! This monitor is a dream come true. The picture is crystal clear, there is a night vision function that turns on automatically so you can see your little one at night and it’s portable. The best thing about this is that none of your neighbors will turn on their monitor and see your baby on it. It’s completely digital and has it’s own wave-length, so it’s 100% private. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but I got mine for a pretty good deal on ebay and it’s also available used/new on amazon.com. Babies R Us sells it online but it’s only available in select stores because it’s a relatively new product.
As for the negatives, I have only found 2. The camera’s power button blinks. This is the one that’s in the child’s room. We were able to fix this by placing a small piece of duct tape over the power button. Looks a little trashy, but got rid of the blinking in my baby’s room. The other negative is that the monitor’s signal interferes with our wireless internet. So, the monitor can’t be on when we’re working online or else the internet won’t work. Not that big of deal considering the monitor really doesn’t have to be on 24/7.
I’d love to hear your feedback on this one. Have you seen/tried this monitor? What do you think?? What’s your opinion on video monitors in general?
Ok I realize this subject is pretty general, but I’ve just about tried them all and I have different opinions for each of them.
I’ll start with the good:
Pampers Swaddlers- Best Diaper on the market. Why don’t they make these past size 2-3??????????
Huggies Overnites- These diapers are pretty incredible if you ask me. They appear to have extra padding in the front (for the tummy sleepers) and literally keep my girls dry all night long. I don’t know about you, but I can’t even count all the times my girls have woken up in the morning with their diapers as big as a bowling ball and then resulting in wet pants/sheets/etc. These diapers have solved that problem…so far!
Pampers Cruisers/Baby Dry- I used to buy these before the economy crashed.
Generic- I’ve pretty much tried them all. White Cloud (Walmart’s brand), Walgreens, Publix, & Target brands are all very similar. Before I found Huggies Overnites I thought they all leaked at night but then realized that it wasn’t necessarily their fault. Now I usually buy generic for day and the others for night. A little more complicated, but in this economy, I try to save where I can!
The neutral….
Nature Babycare- Ok, Target sells these eco-friendly diapers and my neighbor referred them to me and they work for her just fine. I, however, was not a big fan. They were not very soft and you know when you’ve changed the dirty diaper and you kind of roll it up in a ball and then use the “velcro” tabs to hold it together, well the tabs don’t stick to the diaper, so it won’t stay in a ball. This was frustrating to me, especially with the really dirty ones. Now the fact that they are eco-friendly and better for the environment give them huge points which is why they didn’t make it into the bad category, but they are not my first choice.
And now for the bad…..
Huggies Supreme- While I think these diapers are pretty great, my daughter is allergic to them. What on earth are they putting in these diapers to make her break out?? And it’s not just diaper rash, there was a perfect outline of a diaper where her skin was irritated. AND…what’s more….I’ve heard that this is more common than not from her pediatrician! Isn’t that crazy?? I’m sure there will be somebody to comment against these statements, but hey, I just call it like I see it!
Ok so when I was looking to buy a convertible car seat for my oldest daughter, I did some research and found out that Britax had the best reputation. Well, they are also some of the most expensive. Then I found out that Britax makes a version for Fisher Price that is almost identical to their Marathon model and about half the cost. (YES IT’S MADE BY BRITAX, JUST UNDER THE FISHER PRICE NAME!) The cheapest place I have found it is at Albeebaby.com. They also have free shipping!!! This has got to be the best value out there as far as car seats are concerned!

I do believe that if the price is right, it’s worth it to buy organic. Which brings me to Earth’s Best…
- Organic
- No Artificial Colors
- No Artificial Flavors
- No Preservatives
- No Genetically Engineered Ingredients
- No Added Salt or Sugar
- Wheat Free
- Kosher
Oh and I get it at Publix and Target. I’m sure it’s available elsewhere, but I don’t now where. This is another situation where if you go on the right day, they may have a buy one, get one free sale going on, but you have to get there early or your selection will be limited! When this happens though, it makes is just as inexpensive as the other non-organic brands!
So basically until I hear otherwise, this has to be like the best stuff in the world….what do you think???
Made by lunchables but for little people.
Varieties include bite size turkey/mozz chz/ ritz crackers, ham/cheddar/ritz, & chicken strips/apple sauce/graham crackers
My daughter eats about 2 of these a day and LOVES them!
